genre romance, adult, contemporary published February 14, 2023, by Boldwood Books Goodreads || Amazon rating❤❤❤ ❤ cover❤❤❤❤ review Katy and her husband were on a trial separation. She always expected it to be just temporary, so she spend the last few months bettering herself and waiting for him. So when he calls to meet up, she is sure that they are getting back together, but the opposite happens. At about the same time she gets a call from her daughter who was travelling that she got a job and is staying on the other side of the world, in Australia.  In a very short time life as she knew it disappears. She is not taking it well, but her friends, who have been there through it all have a plan. They take her to France on a holiday. It's an opportunity to spend time together, for Katy to find herself, separate from her husband and to have a fresh tart.  But it ends up being so much more for her. I loved reading the book! It's a story of self-discovery, of love of true friendship

Then she does a favour for a friend and looks after a matchmaking office for a little while, while she is on honeymoon. What could go wrong?  Well, it all starts with an overly complicated boba order, when she runs into her old nemesis, who still stirs some feelings in her.  Turns out the guy she used to crush on until he messed up big time is actually royalty. And on a mission to retrieve what was stolen from him.  It's a fairytale romance story, with a spin, suspense and a whole lot of romance.  The writing is so good! I was s

You know, that kind where you are totally lost for a little while, but the story starts to come together and before you know it, you are pulled back in time and sucked into the events. The story is set in the 10th century, England and centres around the Battle of Bruhanburh and all the events leading up to it.  There is a lot of political intrigues. Fragile alliances are being forged, but everyone has their own agenda and motivation and no one can be trusted. The story spans multiple years and multiple narrators. It took a bit of time to sort out who was who, and the pace is on the slower side, but it works well with the story. The story is set in a time that I know very little about (it's been a while since high school:) ), and
