One of the most romantic stories I've read in a long time. It's a super slow burn and super romantic.  Xie Lian has ascended to godhood three times, angering a lot of gods in the process. Now he has a lot of debts to pay and no money to do so. in the 800 years since he was a beloved crown prince, people forgot about him and there are no temples dedicated to him anymore. He is sent to the mortal realm to hunt down the violent ghosts that are causing trouble and earn enough to pay off all that he is owed. He meets a mysterious stranger along the way, who is clearly a lot more than he pretends to be. They have an instant connection... :) The fantasy world created is detailed and well-written writer and the romance is just the sweetest.
