Books that make me want to pack up my bags and move...

To renovate a villa on an Italian coast *sigh* Do you ever feel, like you want to pack up your life, book a flight somewhere and leave on an adventure? I do. Sometimes. Especially when daily life gets overwhelming. Surely there isn't as much laundry if you live by the sea, and it's probably a lot easier to pick up the house if you have a view of the beach in the background and listen to the roar of the waves on the daily walk...  I've been a little bit obsessed with romance books lately and there have been few books that made me feel that way. Can you tell I desperately need a vacation? :) The Edge of Summer by Erica George It's a beautiful, but also a heartbreaking story, of a girl who made all the wrong choices and lost her best friend because of it. Not that the friend is gone she has to live with that. She applies for an internship at Cape Cop. Saving whales was always their dream, but now she does it for both of them, looking to feel close to her somehow, someway.

I was hooked from the start. :) Ten years ago Megan stole the money and few belongings and left home. She began school and never looked back. After her father dies, she returned home. She stands at the very same place where she made a pact with the witch. She offered her her charm bracelet, and when the charm started to appear, she knows it was time for debt to be paid. My week in books [ #25 ]

wednesday I've started reading The Love Experiment by Kitty Wilson the week before, but got bored. I wasn't sure if I want to DNFit, so I gave one more chance and after a while, I started loving it. It turned out to be a five star book and I'm happy I didn't put it down.  I would have missed out on great book, filled with swoony meetcutes, sweet romance and one hell of a drag show.  :) I've also read Royal Pickle by J.J. Knight . It starts with the prince running into the deli, where she works in search of a hideout and end with improp to wedding in the hills, surrounded by donkeys. :) Loved every page of it! :) thursday I've started reading River of Ashes by Alexandra Weis and Lucas Astor. I don't think I've ever read anything like it. It was scary and horrific and so so good. I couldn't put the book down. Part of the story is told from his view, and he is a sociopath, who loves to hurt girls. It's the kind of book that shakes you to the core

published May 18th 2022 number of pages 291 genre fairytale, fantasy rating ❤❤❤❤ cover ❤❤❤❤ Jessica has a tumour. She has little time left and her symptoms are getting worse. She gets an inspiration for a painting, that is different from her usual work and she just has to do it. It's the painting of the rose and the mysterious warrior. Somehow she ends up in a different world, in the Commonwealth of the Rose. She is sure at first that it is just a hallucination from the medicine or the tumour, but with time it becomes clear that it is something more. The world she found herself in is very different from hers and it is in trouble. And then there is Griffin, the mysterious strange she painted and very much real. She becomes torn between two worlds, one where she battles the darling and one where she battles cancer. It's a very interesting idea and I loved reading it! However, I had a hard time connecting to the writing. Amazon happy reading, anie Received the Arc from Hidden Gems

Image
series Bridgertons #4 published July 1st 2002 number of pages 370 genre romance,  friends-to-lovers, sister's-best-friend, historical, regency, adult rating ❤❤❤❤❤ cover ❤❤❤❤ My favourite.💗 I love Colin in all of the books, but especially in his. Colin is the third brother. He is wickedly smart, funny and very charming. But that is all that people see in  him, his charm. And he is tired of it. Home from the latest travel, everything is different. Especially Penelope. He never notice her, she was just his sister's friend, but lately, he can't seem to stop thinking of her. He was always easy-going and level headed, and Penelopy is the only person in the world who drives him absolutely crazy. :) She is wickedly smart and challenges him constantly. Penelope has made her peace with being a spinster. She is 28 and quite happy with her life. She has her family and Eloise and a secret that keeps her quite busy. She was in love with Colin since forever, but lately, something is diff
