The perfect way to spend Christmas Eve: curled up with favorite book(s), coffee and Christmas lights in every corner of the house... The books I reach for are usually the ones I loved, the ones I've read multiple times and come back to often. It's the of the year to get your nose stuck in the book. :)  Here are books and/or series that I loved to read time and time again: Relentless

Praxis Novellas by Andrea Pearson

Image
Author Andrea Pearson Title Praxis Novellas Series Mosaic Chronicles #2 Genre ya, paranormal, urban fantasy, magic Published September 22nd, 2014 Number of pages 165 Goodreads Amazon Rating 💚💚💚 Cover 💛💛 Praxis is a collection of the novellas, that make the second book in Mosaik Chronicles. We follow Nicole, Austin, and Lizzy in separate stories, as they deal with trouble coming their way. Nicole goes to Ohio to learn more about Wind magic but ends up in the creepy apartment building with beings from another dimension. Austin discovered a photograph, that keeps on changing and he has to figure what is behind it and Lizzy finds a posses whistle that calls back a spirit of a possessed goddess. Whilst it was nice to get back to the world of Aretes and see what my favorite characters are up to, I didn't enjoy it as much as I loved full-length novels. Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

Image
Author Alice Clayton Title Wallbanger Series Cocktail #1 Genre romance Number of pages 384 Published November 27th, 2012 by Omnific Publishing Amazon Goodreads Rating 💚💚💚💚 Cover  💛💛💛 When I'm in between books or slumping a bit I love to read books that are totally different from what I normally enjoy, Wallbanger is the perfect book for that. It's steamy, cheezy, funny and very enjoyable. I read it in a couple of hours, writing is very flowy and you can just fly through the pages.  Caroline moves into a new apartment in San Francisco and is woken up in her first night by very explicit sounds of her neighbor. As the week goes on, she gets very in-depth knowledge of her neighbors and his various girlfriends. She hears e v ery bang and noise through thin walls. Once she has enough goes over and confronts him. They start to hang out and eventually become a couple.  It's one of the funniest chick flick books I've read. Also

Home Ick by Karen Bischer

Image
Author Karen Bischer Title Home Ick Genre contemporary, ya Rating 💚💚💚💚💚 *read on Swoonreads Such a sweet story that gave me all the feels. Ellie's family has some financial trouble, so they had to move and she had to change schools. The first guy she made friends with, she started dating. His friends became her friends. It was good for a few months, however, after they broke up she was left with no one. During the Home Economics assignment, she has to join a group of guys, most of the troublemakers. At first, she was reluctant, in time she discovers that they are not all that bad. One guy in particular. As she starts to get to know them better, she explores other things too, now that she is not limited by friends. She grows as a character very much, from a shy follower, independent girl. It's such a positive uplifting story. It's sweet, heartwarming and just so great... :) Happy reading, Anie   Follow @anie_1027

Forbidden Knowledge by Andrea Pearson

Image
Author Andrea Pearson Title Forbidden Knowledge Series Koven Chronicles #5 Published November 25th, 2018 Genre magic, urban fantasy Received from Author Goodreads Amazon Rating 💚💚💚💚 Cover 💛💛 Lizzy's time is running out. She doesn't have much time before lorn Kenan comes to full power, at the same time there are still lots of hounds on the Earth. She finally gets help from friends, because her to-do list is running long. I love the way story just goes on, pick up right where the last one stopped, it's perfect for binge reading. :) And there is non stop action, no rest for Lizzy. With each book in the Koven Chronicles, I like her more, she is such an amazing character. She is strong, but there is a bit of vulnerability to her. There were some amazing fight scenes in the story, however, I was a bit disappointed by the execution. I wish there was a whole lot more showing and bit less telling. Favourite books of November

Image
November was a very good reading month for me, I've read 19 books. Some I absolutely loved, but a lot were just OK, or even bad. Here are five of my favorites from this month.   When Stars Come Out by Scarlett St. Clair The colder it gets, the more I'm in a mood for a fantasy book. This one is very urban fantasy-ish novel with very unique supernatural beings and magical world and so much awesomeness. :) Christmas Catch by Mery Shotwell Reading the book was just like watching a Christmas movie (but better, because book :)). Scythe by Christina Bauer I used to read a lot of sci-fi. Recently I've struggled to find a good one and Scythe made me fall in love with genre once again. It's just a prequel but it's filled with awesome story and science and gadgets and aliens.... :) The Flash, Vol. 8 by Joshua Williamson This year I started reading comic books. I've read many that were OK, but none that were amazing

World describe is very rich and full of supernaturals with a well-developed structure, it was my favorite thing about the book. Plotwise, whilst it was interesting, I had trouble staying engaged with the story, it didn't hold my attention. It wasn't the right book for me. Happy reading, Anie    Follow @anie_1027

She watched over people, whispered in their ears, make suggestions. She takes her job very seriously. Now she got a new assignment, that is a bit unusual-Liam. She is not assigned as his guardian, because Liam is selfless, who just lost his partner, but as his partner. The job tests her on every level. Especially when it comes to Liam himself.  He isn't so easy one to crack.  There is a hierarchy to the angel world, different levels of angels, with different powers and roles. I like reading the book that has a good logical structure of supernaturals, it makes them very realistic. There is something bad goi
