I love all things Halloween... the spookiness, the costumes, the candy, the parties... all the things. :) My favorite thing, though, reading something a little bit scary, dark or paranormal. :)  Here are some of my favorite books to read on the spookiest day of the year. :) Monsters want to find love too... <3 Dearest Clementine by Candace Robinson is a collection of short stories. His love was taken by a creature of darkness, on the search, he writes her stories, all very different, but with a common theme, everyone deserves love, even monsters. They are dark, with lots of horrors sprinkled in, but also, very romantic and so so good! <3 I didn't use to be a fan of zombies, but this book series seriously changed my mind. Dead Meat by Nick Clausen is a nine-book series. Each book follows one day in the zombie outbreak, which is threatening to overcome Europe. It's extremely fast-paced, nonstop action and intensity turned to the max. The best part about it, it has this re

One night, one bite, and everything are different. Her life could not change more. Where before all she cared about was having fun, now she is being hunted. Finding out that there are werewolves is hard enough on itself, without the added pressure. It's a fast-paced, intense story with lots of twists and turns. Jemma is a very interesting character. She stands up for what she believes, she is confident and full of spunk. :) For some reason, I had a hard time getting into the story, especially in the first half. rating 💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙 Goodreads || Amazon received from author number of pages 204 published September 20th, 2021 series Lone Wolf of the North Book #1 genre paranormal, urban fantasy happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027 Anie

The Finest Lies by David J. Naiman

Nicole and Jay, are typical siblings, always fighting and getting on each other nerves for something or other.  After the last squabble, when Nicole has just about had it with her brother, the ad appears on the tv. The mysterious man claims that he can exchange her brother for a better one. Aggravated, Nicole agrees. What she gets, is not exactly what she wants and things get out of hand very quickly. The robot brother seems perfect at first but turns into more of a pain. She is confronted with past memories while trying to handle what is unraveling in the present and quickly, w hat was supposed to be an ordinary snow day, turns into quite an adventure. It's the writing that makes the story stands out, funny, full of puns and random pearls of wisdom, it's a delight to read. The story is about sibling relationships, growing up, peer pressure, and staying true to yourself. Nothing like seeing the past to make you think about the future. :) And it seems like the ad got them just i

Priya Gupta had to fight fiercely for all she got. Her father runs the family business, an NYC auction house. It was always her twin who was considered the next heir. Only he has more interest in painting. Her father gives her a little piece of the business and she makes it successful, but getting her father's approval is still far off. And then there is Gavin. Her childhood rival and heir to heir auction-house completion. They are always in completion, and not above playing dirty. It would be easier for her if she wasn't extremely attracted to him. :) The latest client, they both really want, invited them for a week at this estate, to convince him to pick each one of them. Being in such close proximity, with sizzling chemistry and undeniable attraction, makes them cross the line. :) It's the most romantic enemies to loves book ever. The banter, the dialogs, are THE best. :) I was giggling all through the book... :) It's very romantic and very, very steamy. :) rating 💜

Dead Meat: Day 9 by Nick Clausen

It's the last book of the series. :) I was so excited to read it, it's all been building up for 8 books and I was beyond ready to see how it will all end.  They finally have the cure to end the zombie apocalypse, but not they are racing against the clock. They have to prove that it works before the bombs start to drop and a simple video it's not enough. Dan and Liz go on a side mission to save their parents, but end up getting captured by humans taking the zombie situation into their own hands. It's an incredibly intense, fast pace book, that I just flew through. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend the book & the whole series! rating 💜💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙💙💙 Goodreads || Amazon received from author number of pages 143 genre ya, zombies, urban fantasy, apocalypse published September 29th, 2021 happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027 Anie
