That was a page-turner! Julian parent's died three years ago. Since then a lot has changed. He takes care of his younger sister & tries to lead his father's company, that's about to be split. What he would like to do is play his game. As he starts to dig deeper into the company things don't add up, he starts seeing things and that's only the start! Quinn is an agent and her work keeps her very busy. Still, she finds time for Julian's sister and their strange kind of friendship. When he asks her to help, she jumps on board. Not to give to much away, that was amazeballs! :) Unexpected twists and turns, intensity building with each chapter... it's seriously good. :) rating 💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙💙💙 received from Xpresso Book Tours genre adult, adventure, sci-fi published July 24th 2020 Goodreads  ||  Amazon giveaway a Rafflecopter giveaway synopsis Can Collins and Quinn call a truce long enough to survive? Calla by Christina Bauer

I just love this series. It's funny, intense, full of action and starry eyes... there is something about it that made me feel giddy when I read it. Calla is not just a feeling anymore, she is badass fae Queen, with mighty scepter Sammy. Only, her royal subjects hide from her and Sammy might just be killing her.  Then comes the Gargoyle king, he seems to have all the answers, but there is something fishy about him. The only way to save her father, Ivy, and herself is to trek to the top of the mountain, no magic, and find an answer. On the plus side, she has to go with Dare, but she might freeze to death. :) I love Calla, she is still a prankster by heart, but with a lot more power & trouble that comes with it. And Dare, he is just dreamy. :) It's a joy to read! So good! Highly recommend it! rating 💜💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙💙💙 received from Xpresso Book Tours series Pixieland Diaries #2 published July 28th, 2020 genre paranormal, romance, ya, fae number of pages 150   Goodread

Witch's Jewel

Image
Kit is an artist but has to work at her brother's coffee shop to make the end meet. She would do anything to be able to quit her day job. Then she inherits a jewel from an uncle she never knew all that well and find out it's quite valuable. The only problem, she is not to sell it. That doesn't stop her, she tries to see at least how much is it worth, but asking around opens up the can of worms. Suddenly everyone is after her and her jewel. The more she digs, more secrets she uncovers It's a fast-paced story, with an interesting magical system. I liked the storyline but had a hard time connecting to the story. It's one of those, it's not you, it's me, kind of things. :) rating 💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙 series Kit Melbourne #1 genre urban fantasy, paranormal published April 15th, 2020 number of pages 273 Amazon || Goodreads happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027

There Was Silence by T. E. Mark

Image
There Was Silence is a collection of short stories, some longer some shorter, but all very unique. My favorite was the There Was Silence and Borders. The Author has a very distinct writing style, which I love. I don't usually like books are written in a screenplay format, but it works with the stories very well, making them come alive & adding suspense. rating 💙💙💙 cover 💜💜💜💜 received from Author genre sci-fi, short stories published February 2nd, 2020 by Paragon Independent Publishers number of pages 422 Amazon || Goodreads happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027

Blazing Ashes by Alexa Whitewolf

Image
That was so intense, I couldn't look away from the book! :) Katya didn't have the easiest life so far and it's not getting any better any time soon. :) She suffered from horrible migraines, that are taking over her life. On top of that, she starts hearing stuff. When she is sure she is going crazy, it turns out that the real story is even crazier. The voices are her guardians, one from heaven, one from hell, that are supposed to guide her through her trials. She is not human., She is one of a kind, one born every 500 years and has immense power. But she has a choice to make. Her best friend is a guy she meets in her dreams every night since she was little. And now he is there in flesh and blood, but he doesn't make things all that easier. :) One of those books that you can't put doesn't till the end. There is non stop action, suspense, a romance that kept me on the edge of the seat. And the characters just jump from the pages... :) I highly recommend to anyone w

Living Lightly: Bring Happiness and Calm to Your Everyday by Dale Curd and Kimberly Alexander

Image
When I was little a book for a birthday gift. It was a book with 365 little stories, so you could read a little snippet of the story each day and by the end of the year, the story was complete. Living Lightly reminded my of that. Only, instead of adventure stories, it's a little pick me up, on how to, well, live lightly. 😁Some stories I like a lot, some not so much.  If you are anything like me, and you take everything to the hearth, it's a nice daily reminder to chill, don't stress about everything & actually enjoy life. 😁 I read in all throughout, but I think you get the most of it if you read it little by little. It's a lovely book to have, to read when you have a bad day, or just because.  rating 💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙💙 received from Authors genre self-help published December 30th, 2019 by HarperCollins Publishers number of pages 384 Amazon || Goodreads happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027

The Billionaire Needs a Bodyguard by Ravina Hilliard

Image
That was so much fun to read. :) Lex is a private security consultant. She has to pose as an escort to protect billionaire businessman Michael. He refuses to hire a bodyguard, even though his life is in danger, so his head of security implants Lex.  Only none of them count on, is the attraction between them. He is not the nicest to her, because of what he believes she does for a living, but she still can stay away from him. :) I read it in one sitting, it's definitely a page-turner. :)  Only thing I wasn't a fan of was how fast they got together, I wished it was slower or dragged out. :) rating 💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙 received from publisher genre romance, adult, contemporary published February 4th, 2020 by Dawn Hill Publications LTD number of pages 185 Amazon || Goodreads happy reading, anie Follow @anie_1027

Last Chance Summer by Shannon Klare

Image
Alex lost a friend a year ago, but it still weighs heavily on her. Another incident and she is shipped to her aunt's summer camp, as a counselor. Paired up with Grant, who is not exactly easy going. :) Along with butting heads, the sparks between them are flying. :) Gotta be honest, I didn't like Alex in the begging, at all. I rolled my eyes as I read the way she talked to people and the way she carried herself, but the more I read on, the more she grew on me, and by the end, I was full-on Alex team. :) It's a heartwarming story on moving on, of dealing with grief, and guilt. There is hope, new love, and a new start.  One of those books that you read in one swoop.  rating 💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙 received from Xpresso Book Tours published May 26th, 2020 genre contemporary, romance, ya Goodreads  ||  Amazon   giveaway a Rafflecopter giveaway synopsis In Shannon Klare’s fun and sexy YA novel Last Chance Summer, a teen is shipped off to work as a counselor at a summer camp―only

Arms of the Ocean by Jamie Webster & M. Dalto

Tristaine is living a hard life. Her brother married and moved away, her mother left and the only person left to take care of her drunken father is her. No matter how many times Sloan, her brother offers, she can't seem to move. It's not just because of her father, it's because she has to be near the sea. It calls to her.  It all comes to head, when her father sells her to the Lord, who she hates, for money. Feeling helpless she turns to sea and jumps off the cliff. What should have been the end, it's only the start. She is saved and taken to a whole new world, where she discovered her heritage and the meaning of love and trust.  Joining the see is only the start of an incredible adventure, full of new love, friendship, and also betrayal and loss. I was blown away by the story. In the beginning, I didn't have high hopes for it, but few pages in, it sucked me in and it was very hard to stop reading. :) I like Tristaine's character, she is full of flaws, but someh

The Diary of a Late Bloomer by L. M. L. Gil

Lo is very quirky. She lives with very overprotective parents. Lo goes to college and decides to join the swim team, even though she learn to swim with books in summer. :) And gets on a team. She likes anime and manga.  Though the story we follow her as she grows from extremely sheltered girl and basically starts to grow up. She starts to date, even though it does always goes well and makes friends.  The book has one of the best character development, I've ever read. Even though she grows, developed, and branches out, the core of what makes her Lo, remains the same.  It's a great book to read and I highly recommend it! rating 💜💜💜💜💜 cover 💙💙💙💙💙 received from Xpresso Book Tours follow the tour here genre coming of age, na, romance, sports published June 29th, 2020 Goodreads  ||   Amazon giveaway a Rafflecopter giveaway synopsis Every wallflower blooms at their own perfect time, but some like quirky Lo, take longer than others.  Lo is a sheltered 20-year-old who loves b
