The first half of the year is almost over. The Journals of Incabad Reyl by Gregory Tasoulas

Image
My favorite thing about it was the universe/world created.  The story is set in a world, which governing force is electricity.  Incabad Reyl spends most of his life reaching it and creating Equation. He is not satisfied with results so he goes on an adventure to find Master Equation, with help of Auburn Thorn.  The worldbuilding is amazing. The world created is very well developed and very vivid. As you read the story, the setting just jumps from the pages. The story is very unique and compelling, however, it took me a while to really get into the story. A very unique book. :) rating 💚💚💚💚 cover 💛💛💛 received from author genre  sci-fi number of pages   310 published   March 31st, 2019 by Peculiar Worlds Publishing Goodreads Amazon Happy reading, Anie @anie_1027

The Red Rover: Origins by C.E. Whitaker III

Image
Orion lived his entire life on a huge space station. They are cruising through space, looking for a new place to live. Right from the beginning, you are thrown right into the middle of the action, Orion and his classmates during a training session. That is how he spends his day, always training, so they can be prepared for any missions.  love the premise of the story, especially the technology described. It's very imaginative take on space travel.  While I like the writing very much, the storyline took a bit time to really get into. I liked the story a lot more in the last part, it got so much better. :) received from Author genre sci-fi number of pages 286 published May 21st, 2019 Goodreads Amazon Happy reading, Anie

The Second Life of Eddie Coyne by Louis K. Lowy

Image
Eddie is a gambler, he lost his job, gambled away all of their money and on top of that is not the best husband and father. One day on the track he finally gets lucky, winning a lot of money. On the way to get payed out, he dies. Stuck in between, right in the middle between good and bad, he gets a chance to work his way up - one last gamble to win his way up. He gets two or three chances to help someone in the past. Eddie is one of those characters that is full of flaws, with very little redeeming qualities, but still somehow very loveable, someone you have to root for.  I love the storyline, it's a bit different take on after death. I love to read about him trying to help others, it was very fun to read how he handled himself. :) Rating 💚💚💚💚 Cover 💛💛💛💛 Received from Author genre urban fantasy number of pages 230 published May 27th, 2019 by IFWG Goodreads Amazon Happy reading, Anie
