Rating 💚  💚  💚  💚  💚 Author Emilia Zeeland Title The Unsound Theory Series STAR Academy #1 Published January 27th 2018 Number of pages 251 Genre sci-fi Goodreads Amazon  The Unsound Theory (STAR Academy) (Affiliate link) Received from Xpresso Book Tours I LOVE this book. It's one of THE best Sci-fi book I've read... like EVER.  I mean, it has everything, humans living in space, cool technology, school on a space stations, and a lot of amazing stuff (that would be to spoilery to say) :) Because of extreme weather people had to find other places to live, not knowing if Earth climate will ever stabilize, so they populated the Moon and Mars. People even life in space stations. Star Academy is the school for only the best and it is extremely exclusive, you can only get in by invitation, and it's in space station. How cool is that ? :) Yalena doesn't care about space that much so she is very surprised upon receiving the invitatio

Operation Hail Storm by Brett Arquette

Image
Rating 💚 💚 💚 Author  Brett Arquette Title Operation Hail Storm Series Hail #1 Genre sci-fi Number of pages 352 Goodreads Amazon Received from Author It has traits of classic sci-fi book, that I love: interesting plot, multiple characters, interesting science,  I especially love the drones aspect of it, it has a very realistic vibe to it.  Even though I love science, there is a lot of info dump, that takes over the story a lot of times. A lot of very detailed description (sometimes unnecessary). All of that was getting in a way of plot, that was really interesting.  Even I enjoyed reading it, it just wan't the right book for me. Happy reading, Anie

Temple of Flames by Andrea Pearson

Rating 💚 💚 💚 💚 Author Andrea Pearson Title Temple of Flames Series Koven Chronicles Book 3 Genre urban fantasy, magic Goodreads Amazon Received from Author in exchange for honest review It's been a while since I actually kept up with series, and Koven Chronicles are one of those books, that you have to keep on reading and find out what happens next. I love Lizzy in this one, she is extremely cool, the way she fights on and uses her magic. Especially stopping guns. It so fun to read about she gets more bad-ass with each book. The story pick up, right where the second one left of and we are trusted into action right away. The story line if full of unexpected twist and turns. She reminded little bit of Indiana Jones (if he could stop guns from firing :)) Lizzy, with help from Abel, has to find a way to fix Shadow Amulet, before its too late, but the path leading up to that, it's all but straightforward. It's very fast read, I just flew through the s

Liornabella by A. E. Outherbridge

Rating 💚💚💚💚 Author A. E. Outerbridge Title Liornabella Series The Viridian Chronicles #1 Published October 30th 2017 Number of pages 340 Genre high fantasy, ya, paranormal, vampires, magic Goodreads Amazon Received from Enchanted Book Tours The world created in Liornabella in amazing. The author created diverse world, with very rich history, we are slowly discovering with lead character. The land is divided in four parts, there are universities in each land in former castles.  Elle was excepted to university, even though she is not noble or rich. She discovers, through old journals, that there is a lot more history to be discovered and it might be connected to her somehow. It's intriguing story set in world you want to live in.  I love the first part of the story, it pulled me in right away, because of slight Harry Potter vibe. The second part I struggled with, the pace slowed down a bit and became more dense, so it was harder to relate to characters. I loved s

Promise Me Always by Rhonda Shaw

Image
Rating 💚  💚  💚  💚 Author Rhonda Shaw Title Promise Me Always Genre romance, contemporary Published February 26th 2018 Goodreads Amazon Received from Expresso Book Tours Review Promise Me Always is love story of Gabrielle and Danny. It's told from two perspective (Gabrielle's and Danny's) and in two different times, present and six years ago. In story line set six years ago, we see how they meet and fall in love, it goes from good to bad, when they part ways in horrible way. In the present time it's exact opposite, they meet again, under very different circumstances and slowly grew close again (it goes from bad to amazing, with few unexpected twists in the way). I really like the way the story was told, I loved the characters, with all their faults. It's one of those book that pulls you in immediately and you can't stop reading, till the end. Ultimately, it's about true love, but the path to happiness is not light. Both have very hard live
