Sinful Salvation by Alexa Whitewolf [Lost Royals of Transylvania #4]

Image
sexy vampires enemies to lovers romance ❤❤❤❤ Elizabeta is full of anger and resentment, especially towards humans. And yet the curse is set in motion by a human, the one can't stand. Once the curse activates, there is no stopping it. Headstrong, and too stubborn for her own good, she fights the attraction with all she has.  Stefan's only agenda is to help her sister, who is stuck with a gateway to a god in her head. The last thing he needs is a fiery redhead, who is more trouble than she is worth, but he can't help but fall for her. Vampires are in a new castle, out in the open, to show the clans that they are still powerful, but some strong forces are at play. It's a slow-burn love story, with a lot of banter, tension, and steamy moments. Highly recommend to anyone who loves vampires and paranormal romance. genre paranormal romance, steamy romance, vampires Goodreads // Amazon happy reading, anie

The Mass by Natalie Blank

Daniel is the only survivor of the mass shooting, in which the entirety of his football team died. The only reason he survived is because he was home sick. Now he doesn't feel much of anything, only numbness. He joins online the support group and meets Maya.  Maya lost her career due to a shot in the leg and has kind gave up on life since then. They have an instant connection, but the baggage they both will keep them apart unless they find a way to overcome it It's a page-turner! I couldn't stop reading from the start till the finish. The story is full of suffering and heartbreak and is told in a very real way. It shows the emotional wreckage such trauma can have on people, especially those who are so young, and the fallout that happens. But not all is so bleak, from a very dark place the Maya and Daniel grew hope as they connected.  The story deals with hard themes, like alcohol abuse, trauma, and survivor guilt, from the perspective of a person in the middle of it. We see...

Slap Shot by Kat Mizera (Lauderdale Knights #1)

Love a good sports romance, but this one didn't hit the spot. She is from a big Italian family and her family is pressuring her into all sorts of things she doesn't want, from other careers to relationships. When she wakes up getting hit with a hockey put and has temporary amnesia, it kind of feels like a fresh start. Not to mention that the hot hockey player who hit her is there to console her. She starts to stand up to her family, break up with her fiance, and start o date a hockey player, but is met with resistance left and right. Vaughn is starting fresh in Florida. As a single hockey player, he is all about sleeping around until he meets the girl she hit with a puck. She is in a relationship and her life seems to be beyond complicated, but he can't stay away. Something is brewing between them, but they both have baggage from the past, that could stand to push them apart. I like the storyline but didn't like the characters, I didn't feel that much spark between ...

Well Met by Jen Deluca (Well Met #1)

Emily came to the small town to help her sister who was in a car accident and her daughter. It gave her time to recover from a bad breakup. She gave up college and worked full time to support her bf, while he finished up law school. Now that it was supposed to be her turn, he dumped her. Her self-confidence is broken and she is happy to be somewhere to lick her wound. It's also nice to get close to her sister and niece. Because they have quite an age gap they never really got that close. There is a Renaissance fair in town, called Faire, which is a town tradition and kind of big deal. Her niece wants to sign up but needs an adult volunteer, so Emily gets roped into doing it. There is a hot pirate she flirts with, but the guy wearing the costume and she doesn't get along all that well. They seem to start out on the wrong foot and always argue, but when they get in a costume, there is none of that and a whole lot of flirting going on. They started out as enemies but ended up as l...

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenni Han (Summer #1)

I never read To All The Boys I Loved Before, I must have missed the hype, but one thing is for sure, this author can write. Each sentence flows into another perfectly, the story becomes alive before your eyes and pretty soon you cannot help but fall in love with all of the characters, no matter how flawed they are, and root for the happy ending, that is ever elusive.  I was swayed by the pretty cover and sucked in by the story. It's engaging and so vividly written.  Belly and Steren come to the Cousins Beach House every summer. Their mothers are best friends and they bring their kind together each year. The boys have always been tight, but Belly always fell a bit to the wayside. Until the last few years. Not to mention she has a ginormous crush on the older boy, Conrad. This was the first summer the boys noticed her. She spends her days with the boy next door and dreams about the one she can't have.  The atmosphere is a bit different in the house than in previous years. T...

Luna, Rory, and Jodie are all strangers. They meet on a holiday from hell and bonded over the loss of devices and being the only people close in age, and not being in a good place in general. There is a reason why they are all on this holiday. They are all stuck in life, not in space where they want to be and now knowing what to do next. Luna thought her life was perfect. She finished her first year of College, had a perfect boyfriend, and lots of friends. She decided to end her relationship in an angry fight. Not sure if she did the right thing, she booked the holiday to get away from it all. Her bf wants her back, even though he is no good for her, all of her friends ditched her, cause they were more his than hers. So she is basically starting it all over and doubting herself at every moment. Rory is passionate about her art and spends an ungodly amount on social media, trying to build up her image and sell her art. She is about to go to an expenses paid college, to study law, which ...
