Ennead is a Manhwa that retells the story of the Egyptian god. The first volume is basically the intro to the story that will come and provide a backstory to some of the characters. Gods and people prospered when Orisirs led them, but he was killed and overthrown by Seth, the god of war and sand. Isis, Osiris's wife found him, saved his essence, and put him back together. They made a child. Meanwhile, Seth's ruling is cruel and not so good for people. It wasn't until now that the Gods were against it. It all seems wrong somehow like there is some hidden story behind it all that we have yet to uncover. And that what is going on the surface is just the tip of the iceberg. The art is so beautiful, it has a unique style that I just fell in love with. One of the most romantic stories I've read in a long time. It's a super slow burn and super romantic.  Xie Lian has ascended to godhood three times, angering a lot of gods in the process. Now he has a lot of debts to pay and no money to do so. in the 800 years since he was a beloved crown prince, people forgot about him and there are no temples dedicated to him anymore. He is sent to the mortal realm to hunt down the violent ghosts that are causing trouble and earn enough to pay off all that he is owed. He meets a mysterious stranger along the way, who is clearly a lot more than he pretends to be. They have an instant connection... :) The fantasy world created is detailed and well-written writer and the romance is just the sweetest. It is on the weird side, but that makes it interesting. The artwork is awesome too! Yoshiki's best friend disappeared into the mountains six months ago. Someone (or something) that looked like him, behaved like him and had the same memories come back. But it isn't the same Hikaru. That doesn't stop Yoshiki from being pulled towards him. It took a bit of time for me to get oriented to what was happening. The start is all over the place and I couldn't figure out who was who and what was going on. But once I got sucked in, I couldn't stop reading. This one is a bit different but in a good way. Charlie wants to say I Love You to Nick, but can't seem to find a good moment. Meanwhile, his mental health keeps getting worse, to the point that he needs more help than he can get at home.  Nick is consumed with worry. It's the summertime. Charlie and Nick, along with their friends from their school and the girl's school across the street travel to Paris.  They explore the city together while navigating how to be a couple along the friend group. Charlie and Nick continue to fall deeper and deeper in love in the second book of the Heartstopper series. The book is cuteness overload.  Charlie has known that he is gay for a long time, but for Nick, all of this is very new. He is not ready to tell anyone just yet, so they keep their relationship a secret. At least for a while.  But they are not as subtle as they seem. :) The story is adorable and relatable and it just makes you want to read more. Charlie is an openly gay student in year 10 at Truham Grammar School for Boys. Since coming out the year before, he faced a lot of bullying, but it has gotten better since then. Now he is seated next to Nick, who is a year 11. Nick is on a school rugby team. He heard about Charlie, but they never talked. They start talking each time they have class together and never really stop. They get closer when Charlie joins the rugby team. They soon became good friends, always hanging out even after school, and Charlie finds himself falling from Nick. But Nick is straight. Only lately he catches him looking and he seems to always find a way to touch him. It's the cutest, most wholesome start of a romance. I loved reading every page of it! Murry lives on a farm in a small town. He is popular, easy to get along with and plays football. But none of his friends really know him. One day he sees a new guy moving to the countryside.  Jacob has moved out of the city. His parents hope that with a change of place, he will get better. He is homeschooled and instantly stands out. But Murry doesn't care about that.  Murry and Jacob hang out together a lot, and pretty soon feeling between them develop.  It's such a romantic story, full of just the sweetest moments between the two!
