You know that feeling, when you find a book that pulls you in completely? The kind of story that makes you incapable to function in real world, until you finish it? That was Miss Mabel's School for Girls.

I absolutely love the book so much. The story pulled me in from the first page and I was totally hooked by the end of the first chapter. The characters, the world, setting, magical system, politics, it has it all. And the writing, it’s just… perfect. The story stayed with me, my head was in the world of for days after. :)

It’s just amazing story that I hihgly recommend. !

Dystopia is one of my favourite genre all across, so I had very high expectation going into the book. For me to fully enjoyed the story, it has to have certain element of realness to it, that *it-could-really-happen* vibe. And When They Came certainly has that.

Few years ago They came. But They didn’t come peacefully. It’s was more like the worse nightmare coming true. First they sent creatures similar to coyotes, that look around for people and then harvesters come, with ships.
People have resorted to live in small compounds, one of those is Fort Hope. When kids reach age of 17, the have to pick a job. Ana Mia pick to be Night Guard, protecting compound from Coyotes. One her first mission outside of the compound, she gets bitten. She luckily survives, but she starts to change.

It’s thrilling story, with very interesting story line. On the other side I didn’t like any of the dialog, they were too repetitive and the pace was a bit off. I wish there was more world building.

It was such a pleasant surprise reading The Sea Was a Fair Master. I don’t read many short stories, usually preferring full length novels, but I seriously loves this one.

The stories were very unique, there is post-apocalyptic, zombies, ghost,, crimi and love. One thing that they all have in common is that all of them are very vivid, they spring from the pages and the writing it’s very good. :)

It’s amazing how in just few paragraph the whole story comes to life and who you can be thoroughly scared with so little words. :)

Prairie Fire is love story between widow, who came back to live with her brother's family and man with troubled past. It has that whole western vibe that I really enjoyed. You get glimpses of history and world at that time as well as steamy romance. :)

I love fist half of the book, especially Chloe. She is such a strong characters, standing on her own two feet. The second part of the story moved a lot slower, though. It's a lovely quick read.

She almost gives up, but than mysterious marshal artists Alex comes to town. Learning to fight and being around Alex helps her find her confidence and her own voice. But life just gets more and more complicated.

My favourite part of the story was paranormal aspect, I love reading about different cultures and believes, especially the ones I’m not very familiar. I love reading about Phoebe discovering her heritage, astral projections and spirits. :)

It's one of those books, that take few chapters to pull you in, but when they do you are hooked. :)

First of all, the setting is amazing. I love that there is not a lot info dumping from the start. Astrea lives with her family in part of the country, where people are banned for whatever reason. Her live is fairly sheltered. Life gets a lot harder, when there is very little animals left to catch and famine is raging. She is a lead huntress and one day on a hunt she stumbles on a Unicode. They are magic and whoever eats o kills them, is cursed. She is desperate, but unable to kill him, so she decides to just capture him and let the village decides what to do. That night, after some pretty big revelations, she makes a way out of there, with unicorn in tow. :)

One the road out toward Illumia, they are joined by another elf, whose intents are not clear. Road is full of adventure and uncertainty as well as self discovery.

I love the way, we slowly discover the world with Astrea. And the world described is full of magic and magical creatures.

I wish the book was a bit longer and it didn't end when the story got really interesting. :) Time for a book number two. :)

An Angel. A Witch. A Demon. And A Choice.

Creatures from outer realms suck, as any gatekeeper worth their salt will tell you. Welcome to Rogan’s life, an orphaned seventeen-year-old who lives and trains with other misfits under her uncle’s roof, keeping Earth safe from non-human realm jumpers. Rogan’s biggest issue concerns her uncle’s short leash with her freedom—that is of course, until she’s taken by a notorious witch, and her life begins to unravel. Soon, the supernatural beauty discovers there’s a reason her uncle kept such a tight lock on her whereabouts, and that she has more than angel blood running through her veins.

Eighteen-year-old Max is an angel, and Rogan’s mentor and guardian. He’s well aware of her tenacious inability to obey orders, though he also knows she’s a fierce fighter. When he’s involved in a scheme that ultimately gets Rogan kidnapped, he must battle his way back to her in an attempt to save her from the darkness threatening to possess her.

My favourite part of the book is setting and magical system. It’s very interesting mix of my favourite things - fantasy, angels, demons, portals & magic. Even tough it took me few chapters to really get into the story, I loved reading it. It’s very fast paced. I love reading about different realms and portals. :)

Rogan has no family left and lives with her uncle, she training there to be a gatekeeper, but has little freedom. When she is taken, she start to explore who she really is, and was is her story. There is deception and lies and hard to see who is on her side.

Story pick up almost right after the first one and it left me feeling so frustrated (in a good way :)) There are many changes and STAR Academy is not what is was. It’s more like a military base. Their actions in the first story and what they discovered, have mayor consequences. Yalena is very crushed at first and it takes her a long time take her new role or at least forget her former one.

Even though she tries, her leadership and intelligence shine through her every action, even when she is no longer on that position. I love the way she thinks and take charge of the events. She is so amazing. :) My favourite part again is Yalena and Eric's friendship. They work so well together.

Yalena learns about her heritage, where she came from and what lead up to her being found in space. I love the way it bounds everything together. However there is still a lot unknown and it makes me want to to read the third one like... NOW. :)

It's such an amazing series, there aliens, space travel, space station, illegal experiments, genetics, deception, friendship, love, boarding school in space-it's AMAZING :)

Highly recommend it!
