I really liked reading this one. It's non stop action from the start to finish. The book pulled me in right away.

Agent Seven was recruited to the Agency, when she was 16 and since she is travelling world and removing supernatural threats. When she touches a vampire, she can literary burn him up.

Doing what she does, she has very bad opinion of vampires. She runs into one by accident, but he is very different from what she is used to. He is older, powerful and apparently not all that bad. The work together to save children. LA lead vampire has kidnapped children all over the place, to offer as fancy dinner. Agent Seven and Adam work together to save them.

There is a lot left open in the end. It's a great start of what could be really amazing series. I looked forward to reading more. :)

Ember Gods is second book in Kilenya Chronicles.

The story pick up, right where Forsaken prince ended. Jacob is back home, mother and sister safe, and father very injured. He is determined to save Aloren, but most wait until Fat Lady can finish her potions. He is frustrated and felling helpless. So once he and his brother tried to save her alone, but are stopped by Ember Gods and barely escape.

The universe of Kilenya is expanding and I love discovering more and more about that world.

I like this one a bit more than the first one. There is even more action, secrets slowly revealing and promise of more.

And I have to say, I'm really happy that Jacob thought of Matt situation, cause it's bothering me since the first book. :) Hope there will be explanation in the next one.

I've started reading this amazing series a bit out of order (I've read P.O. story first), now I'm doing it right, starting with the first one (it's OK to read it out of order, still makes sense).

Liam is best selling Sci-Fi Author. He travels the world, never settling anywhere. He moves to small town, to be a professor for a few weeks. In his first few day he gets terrible nightmares and reconnect to Eolie. Eolie was his "imaginary" friend. When he was little they used to talk all the time (just in his mind), she even saved his life once.

Eolie lived seclude life, until terrible accident. She survived and is determined to find Liam.

There is amazing friendship in all of the books. Six guys were roommates in boarding school, they from a family for each other now. I love to read about that kind of closeness and banter between them is really funny. :)

It's such a lovely story, with many twist. Such as Exposure, I love the positiveness of it. Reading any of the book from this series, it's like eating chocolate, always jummy and fun treat. :)

Happy reading,

I keep going, straining for the sound of voices.
My violin case feels oddly fragile in my arms. I cling to it, my fingers so tense they ache. The scent of industrial cleaner permeates the air, so cloying and heavy it seems to slick my tongue. I weave around the remains of a gutted photocopier toward where the cubicles are stacked more densely. Maybe they've made a sort of office back there?
But when I clear them, I find myself staring out into more empty space.
And then I see the chair.
It's placed dead center, an anomaly in the gloom. I squint, hard, and make out a small figure seated in the shadows. A child.
"Hello?" I call out.
No response.
Sweat prickles along my scalp. I swallow as fear rises with startling speed, sliding noose-like around my neck.
Everything about this is wrong.
All completely wrong.
My breath quickens as I take a few more steps forward.
Enough to see the child for what she is.
A girl. No more than six or seven years old. Arms bound behind her to the chair. Mouth gagged.
Oh my god. No wonder she didn't respond.
I glance at Earpiece-guy, expecting to read horror in his eyes. He merely studies me with interest.
Fear ricochets from my skull to my spine to my legs that turn to Jell-O.
"What is this?" I demand.

"You tell me," says the goon at my side. And then he smiles.

NeverSee is wonderful mix of futuristic fairytale retelling of The Little Mermaid & Peter Pan. In future oceans have swalloved Earth, people live in undewater, floating settlements or ust on ships.

There is one crazy, evil scientist, who took evolution in her own hand. She kidnapped children and tried to genetically designed them to survive new era. Children she changes have no say in what happens and a lot of time thing go wrong. Aria was designed in to survive underwater, she even has gills implanted. Peter can control gravity, so he can fly. Special friendship from between Aria and Peter. There is also James, he is stepson of Narissa and close to Aria. One night Peter find a way to escape and tries to take Aria with him, she refused to live her sisters and he leaves alone. She and her sisters escape too, but at greater cost.

Few years later, fate bring them all togethere in efort to kill Narrisa, the Sea Witch.

I love the way fairytales are intertwined together, but I wasn't fan of writing style. Whilst the story in really interesting and amazing, I did't find it as gripping and have a bit troible connecting. Still, really interesting book.

SOME BOOKS AREN’T MEANT TO BE OPENED ***City of Bones meets The Da Vinci Code.
Urban fantasy lover’s dream! Demons, vampires, angels, witches, and fallen angels all set to the back drop of high school in Hawaii, and astral travel to the past to Knights Templar era.

A page turning mystery with a supernatural twist that entertains to the last page! ~InD’tale Magazine

Book trailer:

When teens go missing in Hawaii, a group of demon-hunters—half human and half angel—disguised as high school students, must leave Crossroads, the place where they reside. In a race against time, they uncover the mystery connecting the missing teens, which dates back to the era of the Knights Templar. However, when they discover one of the Templars passed down a book containing all the secrets and codes to finding a particular treasure, they soon realize this forbidden treasure needs to be found before Cyrus, the lord of the possessor demons, acquires it—a treasure which been safeguarded and hidden from him. There is only one problem: the pages containing the clues leading to the treasure is missing. When the first page is found, Cyrus threatens to kill more descendants of the Knights Templar if it is not given to him by Friday the thirteenth. In the midst of threats and discovery, the demon-hunting angels find they are not alone when supernatural beings begin to reveal themselves. Can they put their differences aside and work together to solve the Knights Templars’ cipher? As they astral travel to the past, they witness a lot more than they have bargained for. And some things are better left unseen.

The chosen Knights is wonderful mix of Templar knights & supernatural. Lucia and her twin brother Zach are angels on mission. With their uncle and mentor they come to Earth in order to find out what is behind happening in Hawaii High School. Every Friday 13 girls go missing and with next one approaching, it is that more urgent to find whoever is doing it.

In search of clues, Lucia and Zach find that High School is full of supernatural beings. Most are different kinds of demons (not all demons are bad). Together they find that there is something a lot bigger is going on. It will take team of seven to find clues and save everyone.

I really like the way such a different set of characters work together.

I like flow of the story, the second part especially. It took a bit of time to get into the story, after we meat most of the characters, it gets really gripping. My favourite characters were Eli and Jack, as for Lucia, I wish she was more... assertive at times. :)

PHILIPPE-OLIVIER TISSEROT’s caffeine addiction is about to land him in uncharted territory and one hell of a ride. One that’s about to go viral.

Current status: Computer whiz to hacker to penpal.

Upgrade status: Lover.

Well, I’m still working on the lover part.

I’m just a computer geek studying at MIT. And now I’m in two places at once – the geek and the lover battling it out to get the girl.

The only problem is, my dream girl doesn’t know she knows me in either one of them.

Now I have to win her in both.

Please wait. Upgrade in progress.

Well this book was amazing. 😊 It rare occurrence, finding a book that is just so... positive. I loved the story, I'm sure it would wake romantic side in anyone. 😊

P. O. is on summer break. He has just one year left in MIT, until double master degree. He is living with his friends and is serious coffee addict. One morning, on search for coffee, he goes to cafe and sees AurΓ©le for the first time. She is just sitting by the tree. He is instantly taken by her.

One day he sees her struggling on computer, so he decides to help her, but she doesn't even acknowledge him.

He doesn't give up. πŸ˜Š He finds a way...  😊 It soo sweat. They form friendship and talk mostly through letters. And with time friendship grows. It's not all strait forward though. She has a story to tell too.

I didn't like the writing style at first, in the middle I was starting to like it and towards end I loved it! It's mix of geekness and cuteness. 😊

Author is amazing storyteller, I was hooked from the start. It just such a great and quick read.

Shelby King is tired of living in her sister’s shadow. Just because Christina is the most powerful caster in school doesn’t mean Shelby’s any good at magic; she’s a scribe, like her mom, and everyone expects her to write spells for her sister, the way her mom always has for her dad. But Shelby’s spells fail spectacularly, and by the time she’s a sophomore, Christina won’t touch them with a ten-foot-pole; their parents aren’t much better. Shelby is fed up, and she decides to show the world she doesn’t care if she isn’t as good as her stuck-up sister, or as talented as their powerful parents. In fact, she decides it’s time to break all the rules, magical and otherwise, and she starts sneaking out to meet Jeremiah Smallwood, the second-best caster in school at illegal pop-up spell battles around town. She may not be able to scribe for him, but she doesn’t mind letting him think that she could; Shelby’s been half in love with Miah as long as she can remember, but he’s never paid attention to her until now, and she’s not going to risk her chances worrying about a pesky thing like the truth. But when Christina rats her out to their parents, Shelby can’t control her anger, and words come pouring out of her that she can’t take back even if she wanted to, threatening Christina’s future…and Shelby’s own chances with Jeremiah. It’ll take more magic than Shelby’s ever dreamed of to set things right, but no scribe has that much magic…right?

After reading first few chapters, I almost gave up on book. Last weak I was in worst slump ever and I really didn't want to read another book, that is the same... have the same old story line, with same old cliches, that you know how it will end from the first page. Well, I turns out, I couldn't be more wrong. Story pick up quickly and it get totally un-put-down-able. :)

Shelby is not living to her family expectation, her parents are really good casters (dad) and scribes (mom). Her whole family line is somewhat amazing, including her sister, that is the best caster at her high-school. She is scribe and all her spell fail. Even her own sister won't cast her spells anymore. She almost gave up on whole magic.

With new school year, things are changing. First Jeremiah, second best caster in school notices her and wants her to scribe for him and them some of her spell actually work. She sneaks out to illegal spell-ofs with Jeremiah and starts online business. Her family life doesn't improve, though. One night in anger, she says words that change everything. I love that twist so much. :)) It reminds me of one of my favourite movies. :)

The story is full of twists and unexpected turns. The magical system in the book is well developed and interesting. I enjoyed reading it so much. :)

This book is SOO good. OMG, I read in one sitting and couldn't stop. The writing is amazing, it's dark and captivating. The story just pull you in.

Rain Ryland lives on streets with his mother. He is left to fend for himself, but still decides to go to school. He doesn't belong anywhere. When his mother dies, he moves to live with his aunt in New Wurzburg (he never knew he had any family). For the first time he feels hopeful. Especially when he meets Friederike. She is strong and cool. There is something more about her, though. :)

All is not great, the town is  and there is a lot more going on. There are shapeshifters and magic and conspiracies and power struggles.... just AMAZING. :)

The characters are interesting, I love that there is depth, especially to Freddie and Rain. Rain has a past, a bit dark, there's edge to him. He doesn't shy away when things get difficult and he is prepared to make sacrifices.

The characters are really fleshed out, they jump out of the page. And the ending... is perfect. πŸ’š

Highly recommend it!

Key of Kilenya is one of my favourite books, so going into Forsaken Prince (which is Key of Kilenya rewritten) I was a bit reluctant. What if it isn’t as good? Well, it’s even better. πŸ˜
Jacob is 16 year old boy. One day  girl approaches him, to take him to Makalos so he can help find Key of Kilenya and he just dismisses her, thinking she talks crazy. 😏

He raised an eyebrow. “Excuse me?” Was that even English? “Key of . . . colon? Uh . . . Who hired you?”

When he gets home, there are monsters lying dead, his mom hurt and dad and sister kidnapped. He has no choice but to go with the girl in he wants to save them. There is evil in that world that is looking for him.

Forsake prince is past pace story of Jacob’s journey to save his family. He and his companions travel through new land full of dangers. The side characters are well developed and have important part in the story.

Can’t wait see what happens to Jacob in the next one. J

Awakened by Love is sweet love story between Zoha, pre-med student, born in Muslim family and Ethan, enology student born in one of the richest family Napa valley.

They meet one day in the library and the sparks fly. It takes a lot of time for Zoha to give in. She is torn doing what she wants and doing what her family excepts of her, between what she believes and what she is suppose to believe. She is caught between two worlds and will take a lot of courage to make her own path. She has a bit of rebellious steak, she removes scarf whilst in college, but will it be enough?

I love the dynamic between them. The way Ethan loves her the way she is and at the same time encourages her to be free, to take charge of her life. We see love grow from reluctant start and as the love grows, so does Zoha. I can't wait to see what will she become.

I was really interesting to read from perspective of another culture. I've near read a book from the Muslim point of view. It interesting to see that even though the culture is totally different from mine, is a lot alike at the same time. People everywhere struggle with acceptance, with finding yourself, doing what you are suppose to do.

I really like the book and can't wait for the next one, because the ending was a bit sad...
