I love the first book in the series, The School for Good & Evil. I read it many times and each time  I loved it more, it's complex, unconventional and so fun to read. It turns the fairytale narrative on its head and makes something new out of it.

I was so excited to read A World Without Princes. The synopsis sounded so good and I was thrilled when I got the book.

After reading a few chapters, I got more and more disappointed. It seems like the story took all that was great about it in #1 and threw it all away. There were so many (way too many) twists and turns, that I lost the storyline altogether.

I expected more and was very disappointed.

happy reading,
anie
