Maya is a single mom of a 2-month-old baby. She has moved to a retirement community, right across from her uncle. Even though most of the population is over 30 years older than her, she likes living there. She even has a pen pal, who she met over the community app, who is one of the few young people living there. It's all going good until she gets a call from the new complex manager, that she will need to find a new home, cause she doesn't meet the requirements.
Dex is the new manager. He likes the challenge of a new job, but the old manager has left a mess. He calls the tenant who is too young to live there, to inform her that she has to move, but doesn't expect her to storm into his office or be so beautiful.
Tension rises when he moves next door to her. She needs help fixing stuff and he needs a date to a wedding, to get the family off his back, so they make a deal. All that pretending starts to feel very real.
It's such a lovely story, giving me all of the fells. It's heartwarming, it's sweet and it's to read.
