Liam lives in the city. His life isn't what he hoped it would be. He has a job that he doesn't love and an affair with a married woman. When his mom calls him and tells him she is sick, he has no trouble letting everything go and moving back home.

Coming back to his childhood home brings up all kinds of feelings. When he was just a kid his father disappeared. Coming back made him realize that he never let go of that. 

The story jumps from past to present in an effort to paint the picture and provide insight into the characters. 

It's a lovely story, about the family drama, of letting go of the past and finding love. And while I liked it, the writing style isn't the best fit for me.

Freya just lost her business, her car broke down and is being evicted. As her life crumbles around her, she realises nothing is holding her at Blossomwood.  So she goes to the French countryside. Her estranged uncle died a year ago and his house which should have already been sold is still on the market. The real estate agent that should be the best is no help. With her parents always on the road, she takes it upon herself to clean up the place and sees to the sale.  As she explores the town, she meets all of the wonderful people living there and falls in love with the town and the town mechanic. It's a lovely story, so full of French vibes that it makes you want to move to Provence. There is romance, but the best part was the growth that Freya went through and the small-town vibes.
