The story is set in the future, just after WW3. The war was supposed to be all over, but instead strange things started to happen. Camps where people were told to go, to be safe are hiding secrets. Secrets that governments all over the world kept for a long time. 

It's an action-packed, fast-paced story. While I liked the plot, I had a hard time getting into the story.

Bryar Rose is a descendant of the Magicorum, one of the three magical races (shifters, fairies, witches/wizards). Everyone who is Magicorum follows one of the fairy tale life templates. She gets a job as a secretary for a gaming company, while her friend is on maternity leave. What she didn't expect is for her boss to be so rude, or so hot. And before she knows it, she is on his private plane and he is asking her to pretend to be engaged to him for a week. Jace is the owner of a gaming company. He is insanely busy, always working. He hasn't been to a family reunion in years. So this year he hired someone to pretend to be his fiance, to get his family off his back. When she cancels last minute, he asks his new assistant to fill the role.  It was hard to pretend at first, but all too soon it all starts to feel very real. They fall hard for each other.
