The Daemon's Wish by Chris Wright

The story is set way into the future. Humans have worked together and saved the Earth, then they colonized Mars and Europa.

The world is and its colonies are safe for the most part, until a series of brutal murders. The police work with Noah, he is a profiler, to uncover the murderer.

There is no evidence left behind, no fingerprints, no surveillance. And for some reason, Noah seems to know more about what is going on. His life turns upside down. The migraines and epilepsy, he always had, get worse, with stress and lack of sleep, to the point he blacks out for a few hours and has no idea what is going on.

I like the setting of the book, especially the sci-fi aspect and the mystery of the crime, which seems unsolvable. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the supernatural aspect of the story. Noah is an interesting character, thought the story, we see his life, relationship, and struggle he had. It makes it easy to root and feel for him.
