Reading Diary || Week #21

Tuesday

I'm having the weirdest reading routine lately. There are days when all I want to do is read and I finish like 2 books or more (this habit particularly hurts my sleep :)), and then there are days that I can't bring myself to read anything. For now, at least I'm reading however weirdy, so I can complain all that much. :)

Anyhow, yesterday I got four new books from the library that I want to start very, very soon. :) First one I'm digging in is by Neil Gaiman. I can't believe I haven't read anything by him yet (I did start American Gods, but couldn+t read past the first chapter). I'm not that far in, but so far, it's great. He has a very distinct writing style. I notice lately that all of my favorites authors have one, a particular way they craft words that somehow makes it more intriguing. Like V. E. Schwab, or Leigh Bardugo. So unique, so incredibly good. :)

Maybe that the fact that sets the top apart from the sea of books, unique in storytelling and story too, of course.

I always forget how much I adore libraries until I go back in. :) Do you like libraries too? The only bad side is that I cant keep the books I love... (I do buy the newly discovered favorites later, but still :)).

Wednesday

I didn't get to reading until quite late at night, cause of life. :) Anyhow, I had just a few pages left of Westwood University. And I loved it... It's a bit too long and the lead character are annoying for the first half of the book, but there is something to it, or maybe I'm just a sucker for boarding school/college with hidden paranormal stuff. :)

And then I started Huntress, with its the gazillionth book in the Angebound Offspring series. :) (Angelbound is one of my all-time favorite books) I'm only a few chapters in, but so far... not loving it.

Thursday

I made a little progress with The Graveyard

Boy (I'm loving it, it's the uniqueest story I've read in a long time) and a little bit with HUntress (which I'm starting to warm up to). Instead of reading in the evening, I watch Friends reunion show on HBO. I absolutely loved it, it's my all-time favorite show, and seeing them back together made me happy and sad and all at once. So of course I have to re-watch all of the season again. :)

How did your week go?

happy reading,
anie
