The Diseased Ones by Danielle Harrington

This book is sooo good!!!

It pulled me in from the very first page and I couldn't stop reading, until the end. The storyline is very interesting and the characters, the setting it all just jumps out.

Hollis is trying very hard to be just like society wants her to be, not shoving emotions, being obedient, do it all perfectly. On her sixteenth birthday, she has to get tested, to see if she has bad blood if she is the diseased one. Despite odds being very, very low, she is tested positive. When they want to kill her, her power comes forth and saves her. She runs back home, but men with guns are right outside.
She almost dies, but a strange girl saves her at the very last moment.

She is teleported to the undergrown facility filled with diseased ones. They are welcoming, trying to tell her the truth, to see what is really going on, but that is completely opposite of what she was thought is truth. She is faced with two very different sides, each with their own truth and version of history and she has to choose what she will believe in and whose side she is on.

She has a very hard time excepting it all and believing.

I LOVE the world created, the setting, the people, the history, it all well thought out.

Hollis on the other hand, I'm not sure whether I like her, or not. :) One hand she is very brave and her power is amazing, on the other hand, she can be very frustrating. :)

And the ending. OMG. I can't wait to read what happens next. :)
