Wishes, She Roars by Angela Kulig and Angela Sanders
One of my favorite books to read are retellings of any kind. I'm a big fan of fairytales and taking a well-known story and putting it in a new setting makes it so much better. :)
Wishes, She Roars is the retelling of Aladdin's story, as told by the princess Cyra. She lost her parent and her grandfather took over the crown again. She keeps on turning away suitors away, not one keeps her interest until she runs into a boy in a dark alley.
She is not just a princess, her mother passed on a gift, that allows her to esape the castle at any chance.
I liked reading it very much, my favorite thing about it was the princess. I love the way she doesn't take any crap from anyone. She stands up for herself and what she wants. :)
