The Land of the Beast is high fantasy story set in a high fantasy world, full of magical creatures.

Psykoria is a Kingdom on the brink of war. King decides to do something grand, so he goes on a quest to find mysterious land, where live all of the magical beast. He picks his best man and sets on the long voyage. After many months on the sea, they spot land, not on the maps, soon discovered it's the land that they seek.  TH eland if filled with every kind of creatures, not all friendly.  After spending some time with the locals he changes his mind about trophies and befriends one of the beasts he wanted to catch.

I love the magical system, all the creatures, the history, it was well thought out and brilliantly set up.

Freya just lost her business, her car broke down and is being evicted. As her life crumbles around her, she realises nothing is holding her at Blossomwood.  So she goes to the French countryside. Her estranged uncle died a year ago and his house which should have already been sold is still on the market. The real estate agent that should be the best is no help. With her parents always on the road, she takes it upon herself to clean up the place and sees to the sale.  As she explores the town, she meets all of the wonderful people living there and falls in love with the town and the town mechanic. It's a lovely story, so full of French vibes that it makes you want to move to Provence. There is romance, but the best part was the growth that Freya went through and the small-town vibes.
