Books of May

I the month of May I've read 17 books, some great, some not so much and few that were somewhere in between. :)

Here are some of my favorites:

I finally finished A Gathering of Shadows and I'm in love. I love the story, the characters, the world, the magic, the writing,... 💚💚💚 It's one of those books that stay with you, forever. :)

First Year is one of my all time favorite books and I loved re-reading it. I love

the magic school and how much Ryiah struggled through the book, but still preserved in the end. It's just one of those books you have to read. :)

I love fairytale retelling, especially Beauty and the Beast (it's one of my favorite fairytales :)) and Depravity was a very good (and a bit different) take on the classic tale.

Dreamland was a totally different story from what I usually read, but  I fell in love within the first few pages. It's the perfect amount of creepy in a ghost story. :)

I've also read this amazing (and a bit scary :)) sci-fi, dystopia: The Cloud.

I'm a sucked for a good romance and/or contemporary. It has to be addicting, but not too angsty. Lovely but not too cheesy. :) There two books fit all the boxes. Risking it All is such a lovely story of rules following cadet in military high-school being paired with the sarcastic delinquent. Soo good. :)

In Courting Kate the star athlete is forced to do community service and Kate is guilted by her best friends to let him do it in the same nonprofit she works. it's one of my favorite tropes - enemies first, love later. :)

What was the best book you've read in the past month?

Happy reading,
