Review

Maiden is one of those books, that get better with every chapter. The start is a bit slow and I was having trouble staying in the story, however, after few chapters, it gets better and better. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the writing style, I liked the storyline very much- it has all the ingredients of amazing fantasy series.

Marta and Jayme are childhood friends. They have very different beliefs, Jayme believes in everything that they teach him in church and is convinced that Marta will lose her soul, so he does what he thinks is right and betrays her. What happens next is an eye opener for Jayme who starts to question his faith and think with his hearth. But he has a long road ahead of him.

It's a begging of a new path for both of them, that will teach them about origins of the world, through Gods and their role in it.

I enjoyed reading the story, especially the second half. My favorite part was the magical system.

Happy reading,
Anie
