Re-reading Red Queen I remembered why I loved it so much in the first place. It's just such a good book.

The World is divided in Silver and Red. People with Silver blood have superpowers and they basically rule the world. Those with red blood, must work for them and obey their rules. They have very hard life, with little options. Most of them end up soldiers, fighting Silver's war.

Mare is trying to steal enough money to save her friend from army. She steal from a wrong guy, but instead of reporting her, he gets her job in the palace. On her first day she falls to her death, only to discover her powers.

Mare is red with power like Silver. It's unheard of, so the Queen tries to hide her in plain sight, making her a lost Silver.

I love the world created and the structure of it (Red/Silver), it very interesting to read. And the plot itself, with unexpected twists, superpowers and a lot of political intrigue. This is probably the only book, where I like the love triangle, it was just done right. :) And the villain... it's make the story great. :)

Highly recommend it!

Happy reading,
Anie
