I've read Discern (first book in Mosaic Chronicles) a while ago and really enjoyed it. I loved diving back to this world. I especially love magic system in these book. Only fourth child in the family has magic, that is elemental in nature, and are called Aretes. There is even a university for Aretes.😊  Forsake is set before the events of Mosaic Chronicles.

Nicole is in the last year of high school. She has one really good friend Lizzy. They are friends in the true meaning of the word and would do anything for each other. The whole book is like a testament to that.

Just before the ball for her Restarting, she actually Restarts. She trows up and faints in class. On the actual ball she is approached by women with little piece of metal to protect in order to save her friends, the woman ends up dead and the real adventure begins. :) I loved why she does it all, it's just so sweet to see that kinds of friendship and loyalty. she does everything in her power to protect Lizzy, even giving up her memories in the end.

She has a boyfriend Conor, they started dating about two weeks ago. I gotta say I hate that guy. I just disliked him in the start, more with every chapter Her family life is really sad, she her parents are cold and distant (she flies across the world and they are like whatever... I mean...ahh)

I LOVE this book. Story is full of action, it pull you in from the very first page. There is magic, friendship, adventure, kick ass fighting...just amazing😃. It made me want to read Discern again.:)

Highly recommend it!

Happy reading,

Anie
