One of my favourite books of all time. I come back to re-read it a lot, and it blows me away every time.

 Author created amazing world, with Demons, Angels, Quazy-demons, Ghouls and Thrax. Myla is Quazy- demon, part human, part wrath demon. She lives in Purgatory, that is basically enslaved by Ghouls, but it wasn't always like that. She lives with her mother, that is scared of everything and refuses to talk to about Myla's father. She goes to Purgatory high and fights in Arena for fun. :) She has a tail, that has a mind of it's own, so awesome. So, she fights evil souls in Arena, to the death. If she wins, they go to hell, is she dies, they go to heaven. 

 There is a lot of political drama going on, that slowly reveal itself, between angels and demons. I love it!! 

 Story really start when Thrax come to Purgatory. Thrax are part angel warriors, that reside on Earth and fight demons. There is something big coming and Myla will be in the middle of it.

 Myla goes to arena with ghoul, named Walker. I love their banter, they form unlikely brother/sister relationship. 

 Her best friend is  Cissy, her demon part is envy, she is really sweet, until she is not. :) And Lincoln. I love the romance between them. In the beginning the hate each other, slowly forming truce, that turns into friendship and then more. :)

 I love this book so much, it has everything I like: kick-ass characters, demons, angels, warriors, political intrigue, romance,...

 I haven't read second book yet, but I will soon. :)

Heroes are finally all together. They didn't have the best start, the peace with the Roman camp they were hoping for is long gone and they are planning on going after them.  They are on a ship, made by Leo, trying to come to the ancient land, but of course, it never goes smoothly for the heroes. Annabeth has a quest of her own to complete, she has to follow the Mark of Athena and find the statue that was lost for centuries. This one is a bit different but in a good way. Charlie wants to say I Love You to Nick, but can't seem to find a good moment. Meanwhile, his mental health keeps getting worse, to the point that he needs more help than he can get at home.  Nick is consumed with worry.
