Irrelevant by Sarah Addison - Fox

This book is addicting. From the first page, I was hooked. The story pulled me in and didn't let go till the last page. It's been a loong time since I've read a great dystopian book & this one is top-notch!

Relevant people are allowed to live in the city, protected from the sun with UV shield, with all the medicine they could ever use, safe and protected. At the age of 18, each citizen is tested, to determine the level of relevance. In the worst case, they are deemed irrelevant and cast out never to be seen again.

Mallory should worry about her testing. Her father is a 10 and her mother is a 9. But she was always different and testing prove it. As she is cast out, Cristan is there to take her to the Irrevalent's home. She is shaken up to the core and keeps on getting sicker. There is something about her that makes her different. Not everyone likes it.

On every turn there are more questions then answers, about the government, who they are and what is really going.

This was such an intense story, I was glued to the screen all the time. The writing is soo good. There are no dull moments or unnecessary info dump. You are discovery the world along with the main characters. I love that kind of storytelling.

Highly recommend it!

"A riveting YA dystopian romance that hits all the familiar beats in fresh ways, and does a great job with neurodiversity." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"The author's diverse characters in this well-written story are all perfectly developed. I was thoroughly entertained on all levels of this fast-paced novel. Irrelevant, leaves you wanting more at the end with a cliffhanger that reminded me of Terry Brooks. I'm hooked. Brava!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
