One of those books, where you are not sure what is real and what is just a dream. I really liked the story, it was unique and intriguing.
Bryn has an diseases Klein-Levin Syndrome, where she fall asleep for several days or even week at time. KLS has a big affect on her life. Difference between her and other patients with the same disease is, that she spent her sleeping time in alternate world, made up of her own memories. One day, when she has an episode, she find a boy on the beach in her world.
Because in real life KLS is progressing her only hope to under go experimental treatment in Germany. But... there is more to the story. There is a lot to uncover in the story, lots of layers to it. From friendship, family dynamics, dealing with chronic disease and even love.
It's so gripping, you just don't want to put the book down, till you get your answers. :)
Only thing I didn't like, I wish the ending was revealing a bit more.
Happy reading!
