The story start right away. Erin and her friend are in severe car crash. Her friend dies, she is badly injured, burns covering most of her body and she definitely shouldn't survive. And yet she is alive. She is kidnapped from the hospital, by two very strange people. They help her get better and tell who she really is. Even though she survived, this new life is full of danger. She must choose a side.

 I really like the beginning, I was instantly pulled in and really interested. It went slowly down hill after that. Not a bad book, just something was missing and I am not sure what.

Heroes are finally all together. They didn't have the best start, the peace with the Roman camp they were hoping for is long gone and they are planning on going after them.  They are on a ship, made by Leo, trying to come to the ancient land, but of course, it never goes smoothly for the heroes. Annabeth has a quest of her own to complete, she has to follow the Mark of Athena and find the statue that was lost for centuries. This one is a bit different but in a good way. Charlie wants to say I Love You to Nick, but can't seem to find a good moment. Meanwhile, his mental health keeps getting worse, to the point that he needs more help than he can get at home.  Nick is consumed with worry.
